September 21 is the official last day of summer.  Fall is only a few weeks away!  One of my greatest joys is looking forward to the next season.  Fuzzy orange scarves and cool breezes... Here We Come!

Summer Gardening

With summer in full swing, I found myself
finding little nooks in the garden in need of a vegetable or an herb or two.  I had always heard that seeds from vegetables needed to be dried before they could be planted but found that is only true if they are to be saved for next year.  I've already got butternut squash sprouting from my last batch of butternut soup!

Is it Here?

The official start of summer is June 20 but it has already started for me!  I took a risk and planted reeeeeally early, but it paid off.  It looks like I'll be able to get a whole new planting in June or July.  Yay!
