Coffee in the Garden
Did you know that plants love coffee? When my mother visited the Biltmore Estate last year, she commented on the gorgeous azaleas. The gardener told her that all of the coffee grounds from the restaurant were used as fertilizer for the plants. I've since learned that coffee adds nitrogen to the plants, which is the nutrient that produces healthy green growth and strong stems. Coffee also contains ca lcium and magnesium, both of which are beneficial to plant health.
